Day 1: Sai Gon – Cai Be (L,D)
Cai Be is a fertile small town situated at the junction of the Mekong River with heavy fruit trees all year round. It is also best known for many handicraft villages of making pop rice, coconut candy and rice paper. Visiting Cai Be by cycling around the small village in an islet or rowing a wooden sampan along a small canal surrounded by freshwater mangrove is a great chance for you to immerse yourself in a rustic Mekong life. Despite being not too far from Ho Chi Minh city, Cai Be is just perfect for a getaway place which lives its own life in such a laid-back pace.
You will be picked-up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city at 7:30am. Depart for Cai Be by car via Trung Luong Express Highway and explore an unique Vietnamese religious is Cao Dai with Ornate Cao Dai Temple in Mekong Delta
On arrival in Cai Be, keep cruising through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Arrive in Tan Phong Island, you will be impressed by traditional handicraft made by local people from water hyacinths making baskets, bags or a lot of accessories and banana leaves making hammocks
Set off by motor boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels and drink coconut on boat. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy poprice are made. Then wander into the small villages and enjoy seasonal fruit from the garden, accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music- (Đàn Ca Tài Tử – A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013)
Around 1:00PM lunch is served at a local ancient house, where they will satisfy your hunger with delicious fresh spring rolls, whole grilled fish, fresh fruits, and more. You can then opt for a rest on a hammock, or riding a bike around the village for your interests.

DAY 2: CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET (B,L,D)
Early visit Cai Rang Floating Market typically offers a condensed yet immersive experience, allowing visitors to witness the bustling market activity and engage with local traders. The tour usually includes a boat trip to the market, providing an up-close view of the unique cultural exchange that takes place on the river. It’s important to note that the market is at its busiest and most vibrant in the early morning, so tours often depart early to capture the lively atmosphere
Then visiting Son Islet by relocating to the Co Bac Boat Station.
A small ferry will cruise along the Hau River, taking visitors to a floating fish farm. The famous fish farm of Uncle 7 Bon is well-known in the Mekong Delta. One of the highlights here is the beautiful Koi fish farm, where guests can dip their feet into the water and enjoy a fish massage while capturing stunning photos.

Departing from Can Tho in the morning, you will travel to Chau Doc (approximately 3-4 hours). Upon arrival in Chau Doc, check into your hotel and begin your exploration.
Long Xuyen Crocodile Farm, also known as the “Kingdom of Crocodiles,” is located in Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province. It is one of the largest crocodile farms in Vietnam, covering an area of approximately 33.2 hectares and housing over 10,000 crocodiles of various species.
Hop on the boat to visit local Cham village, where you can learn about the unique culture, traditional weaving, and visit the local mosque. Afterwards, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, sampling the region’s specialties.

DAY 4: CHAU DOC (B,L,D)
After breakfast, visit Tra Su Cajuput Forest. Here, you will take a boat trip through the seren cajuput forest, observe diverse bird species, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

Hang Pagoda, is a captivating Buddhist temple nestled on the slopes of Sam Mountain. It’s a significant spiritual site, attracting numerous pilgrims and tourists. The temple is known for its serene atmosphere and unique cave setting.

DAY 5: CHAU DOC – SAI GON (B,L)
Visit Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House is located in Sa Dec City, Dong Thap Province. Originally built in 1895 by Huynh Cam Thuan, a wealthy Chinese businessman, the house initially featured a traditional Southern Vietnamese architectural style, with a wooden structure and Yin-Yang tiled roof.
In 1917, the house underwent renovations, incorporating both French and Chinese architectural influences. The exterior resembles a French villa, while the interior retains strong Asian cultural elements.
The house is famously linked to the love story between Huynh Thuy Le and French writer Marguerite Duras, which she later depicted in her novel L’Amant (The Lover).
In 2009, the Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House was recognized as a national heritage site and is now open for visitors.
