Recognized as one of the Top 100 Authors in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJODO) during its 100th anniversary in 2015. His research article (Angle Orthod 2015; 85: 253–262) was awarded the Edward H. Angle Research Prize in 2017 for the best paper published in The Angle Orthodontist. Author of 10 international textbooks and over 170 scientific publications, both domestic and international.Prof. Seong Hun Kim will deliver an in-depth presentation at VAO-WIOC 2025:
“ATOZ Maxillary Skeletal Expander Generates 12 kgf of Continuous Force to Distract the MPS and CMS with Minimal Rotation”.This presentation will explore the ATOZ maxillary expander, a promising innovation for managing complex cases of maxillary transverse deficiency. Prof. Seong Hun Kim will introduce this novel MARPE system – ATOZ, and compare its treatment efficacy, success rate, basal arch width changes, and periodontal outcomes against conventional tooth–bone-borne MARPE, supported by scientific evidence and clinical case reports.
